I first would like to extend my condolences, my deepest sympathies and love to all those affected by the Newtown School shootings. I cannot pretend to understand the journey you are on currently or possess the words to ease your pain, or even know the solution to this problem, but I come to you with love and light in my heart and extend to you everything that I am. I have been deeply moved by the courageous words and outlook of the suffering parents and loved ones and can only hope that if I were ever faced with similar encounters, I, too, would find the strength that has found each of you. My prayers are with you now and always.
Having said all that, I would like to take this time to focus on love and peace. While its imperative we watch the news to keep current in our world, its all too easy to fall victim to the energy all this destruction and mayhem send into our universe. Every action and every word spoken, or even thought, gives off a vibe. It sends energy through our world and that energy is contagious. It soars through the atmosphere and touches everything it finds. Did you ever notice when you are alone in a room feeling very happy and then someone comes home in a horrible mood, your own mood changes? That's energy. That's the exact energy we want to be careful of and keep from affecting us. That's the energy that needs to be stopped in its tracks and transformed into positive.
So now you ask... "How? What can I do?" The answer is very simple. THINK POSITIVE and LIVE IN YOUR LIGHT!! The only thing in this world stronger than hate is LOVE. Love is the only thing that's real in this world. It's all we take with us when we leave. You can be assured that every soul that's taken from this world is not in heaven filled with resentment and hate. They are at peace. They are filled with love and that is what they all want us to know. It's their love they want to pass on to us. It's their love they want us to hold on to. It's their love they want us to remember...
How do we stay positive in such a violent world? We live in our light, that's how. And what does that even mean? It means that you live your life as who you are and not what you think someone else wants you to be. It means that you find the strength to follow your heart's dreams and bring them to fruition. It means that you show support to the person next to you when they fall. It means that you shine your light bright. Every time someone lives in their light, a star in the sky shines just a little brighter so someone else can see in the dark and find their way home. When you are happy, share your happiness. Don't keep it a secret. When you learn something new, tell everyone. When you reach another stepping stone, show everyone your progress.
Believe in yourself. Believe in who you are. Believe you have purpose. A divine purpose. Believe God knew what he was doing when He sent you here. And believe God has purpose and direction for every action and reaction on this earth. Love yourself! And love others. And give all you have to give. There is always someone who needs it even when you don't know they are there.
For every ounce of darkness, there are three ounces of light. Be that light. Each one of us has all the power necessary to drown out the negative. And when we put our individual power together and form one voice, one union, we have the energy to make MIRACLES happen!
Yes! It IS possible to change the world. It IS possible to make it better so our children can have safety and security. But you need to believe it. You need to trust it. You need to trust in yourself and the love that fills your heart. We can't sit here and harp on all the negative clutter that inhabits our universe. We need to spread peace. We need to spread love. This needs to be our focus, our goal, our priority. We need to set the example for our children to follow. We need to help them mend and show them there is good in this world so when it is their turn to run this world, they can do it better than we did. After all, that's always our goal as a parent right? To show them what's right so they don't make the same mistakes we did?
It doesn't matter that these children aren't biologically ours. They ARE ours. At the end of the day, we all come from the same place and we all go Home to the same place.. We are one. And we are all in this together. Let's please honor these babies and their heroes and everyone else who has fallen prey to acts of violence by doing our part in making it better for someone else. It's our job. It's our duty. And we all have a piece to the puzzle to offer, each and every one of us.
Act in love. Act from your heart. Live your dreams. Be who you are intended to be. Light up the sky so someone else can find their way. And please, please, if you know someone who you think is in some kind of mental trouble, don't turn your cheek. Find them help. Use your voice and speak up. It could save a life. And remember, only love is real...
I pray this blog finds the eyes of those who are meant to read it. Please pass it on.
Blessings, love, light and prayers....
