Lately the world just seems to have gone more and more crazy. Hurricane Sandy, all these acts of violence, killing innocent kids, people sending fake threats to schools, the supposed bomb scare at a Shoprite shopping center in NJ, people wanting to know if arming our principals and teachers with guns are the answer... I mean, Really? It's all too overwhelming. It's almost impossible to watch the news without having to prepare for it in advance.
This just cannot continue to be our focus. Ofcourse I'm not saying to forget everything that's happened. We must never forget. Forgetting would only allow the world to retreat back to old ways, which obviously have yet to prove successful. I'm just saying that we cannot allow ourselves to live and breathe these tragedies. If we do, we will surely go insane. We need to look at this in a new light, a new context.
Now, I am in no way suggesting that what has been going on in this world is ok or condoned. I'm not trying to downplay the horrific disgraces our people have been facing. God knows I am just as torn apart as all of you. I literally cry when I watch the news right now. I almost cannot bare to watch. I cannot imagine what it would be like to take this "beast" head on. I'm a mom. My daughter Lexi is 11. She's absolutely gorgeous, she has an insane sense of humor, everyone loves her. She cheers for not one but TWO different cheering squads at the same time, she's a 2 time National Champion, she gets all A's and B's on her report card and I cannot imagine what it would be like to know that her last accomplishment was her last. Thinking about it makes me cry. I tell you this because I don't want any of you to misconstrue what I'm trying to say or think that I'm trying to downplay recent events.
Sometimes when we try dissecting issues from the middle it doesn't prove effective. We are missing the root, the core. Sometimes it's necessary to knock it all down and start from scratch. And when we start from scratch we are allowing a whole new energy to take life and take flight into the new build. It now has new and fresh opportunity. It has a whole new future. It doesn't need to follow any of the old rules or resemble any of it's ancestors qualities. It is it's own fresh free standing unit.
So many people say God is setting the end of the world in motion. Having said that, is it so far fetched to believe God, or which ever Higher Power you believe in, is not necessarily ending the world, but instead ending the world as we know it? If we can rebuild a Lego tower surely God can dismantle His
world in order to make it better. Sometimes drastic times call for drastic measures and seeing as we, as a people, are generally a stubborn society, maybe the severity of these events were crucial in order to "wake" people up and get us looking for new answers and a way to reinvent the wheel.
Sometimes things need to be broken down completely before rebuilding can occur. Do not fear chaos. Focus on rebuilding with love and light instead...
The end result of fear is negative energy. And when you have to tear something apart to make it better things can surely get chaotic, but that doesn't mean we have to live in fear. Think of rearranging your room. It can get pretty darn ugly in there before you get everything back in its proper place so it looks better than it did before right? It's a process. It takes time. But the end result is always really nice. Or, it should be if it's done right. Every situation has a beginning, middle and end. We are in the middle right now. And yes, it's a pretty scary place to be and we have to be concerned for everyone's safety and welfare. But running wild with fear in our hearts is certainly not the answer.
Everything in this world is made up of energy. We learn this in school as a kid. And because we are all made up of energy is precisely the reason why we are all one. Every time someone lives in fear and especially when they express it, it sends a ripple effect through our world. One person affects another person and then another person and another person, and so on and so forth. This is why the power of positive thinking is so crucial to the development of our society. It doesn't have to be negative energy rippling through us. It doesn't have to be toxic. There really are so many good natured and kind hearted people in this world and it's time for these types of people to be heard.
I strongly believe every person is equipped with more strength than they even know. So many times you see people just plummeting their way through, full steam ahead. Which is great, don't get me wrong. But if we all found the strength to slow down just a tad and add some finesse and a softer touch with some love and kindness engraved into it, it would make that much more of a difference. The strength that this situation calls for can only emerge from the love that resides in our spiritual core. We all look to each other for answers when tragedy strikes but the truth of the matter is that the
Let love be the core of your world. Let it be the basis of your foundation to a new beginning. We have the opportunity here for significant change. Don't you think it's better to start over with love being our foundation as opposed to angst, fear and revenge? I don't know about you, but I do. And I will be using my voice and my platform to spread as much light and as much love as I possibly can. I will continue to teach my kids to think positive and act in love in all they do. It only takes 68 seconds of pure thought to give that thought enough power to manifest. Only 68 seconds. So you see how easy it is to set negativity in motion when that is the basis of generalized thinking? Imagine the greatness to be born if we empower those 68 seconds with love...
It's time for us to spread our light, not our fear; to rebuild with love at it's core... not revenge.
Blessings, love & light,
